This blog is dedicated to my family history research. This includes my father’s Rael/ Serna & Chavez family of Arizona & New Mexico, and my mother’s Fernandez family of Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico & San Miguel del Mezquital, Zacatecas, Mexico and her Sanchez family of Durango. My full family tree “Rael- Fernandez Family Tree” can be viewed on Ancestry. For a pedigree only view of the Fernandez family see the Fernandez Ancestor Chart. I am happy to answer any questions and share any sources I have found so far with family members and other interested researchers whose family lines may intersect with mine. I also welcome any additional information, records, stories, or photos others may wish to share, of course.

I was born and raised in Southern California, and now live in Tennessee with my three energetic and hilarious little girls. I love being a family with them.

As a child I loved both history and mysteries. All growing up, I would stare at old family photos and wonder about my family’s past. When my eldest daughter was born it changed everything, and really stoked that curiosity even more. Since that life-changing event, I’ve been on a quest to learn all I can about the history of my family and it’s been an amazing and eye opening journey.

Nací y crecí en el sur de California, ahora vivo en Tenneesee con mis tres hijitas lindas. Me encanta ser una familia con ellas.

Siempre he tenido curiosidad sobre el pasado de mi familia porque siempre me ha gustado la historia y misterios cuando yo era una nina. Cuando nació mi hija primera cambió todo, y avivó la curiosidad aún más. Así que ahora estoy proactiva tratando de aprender todo lo que pueda.
